Hi, Glad you stopped by :) I’m So-young, 소영, 素暎 from South Korea 🇰🇷. I am a first year PhD student in Computer Science and Computational Linguistics under the supervision of Professor Vera Demberg under the topic of Individualized Interaction in Discourse at Universität des Saarlandes.
My research lies in the areas of human-centered computing, and natural language processing (NLP) with an emphasis on psychological perspective. I hope to advance the explainability of NLP models based on the understanding of human cognition. Currently, I’m interested in mechanistic interpretability for understanding the reasoning mechanisms of language models in idiom processing, state updates, and code processing.
Offline, I like to go hiking, running, weight training, judo, jiu-jitsu (all kinds of exercises 🏋️), and traveling (Visited 🇯🇵, 🇪🇸, 🇺🇸, 🇻🇳, 🇩🇪, 🇮🇹, 🇨🇭, 🇦🇹, 🇵🇹, 🇨🇮, 🇱🇺, 🇦🇱, 🇬🇷, 🇳🇱, 🇫🇷). And always welcome philosophical conversations!
